Strong start for estate agency as it opens new offices

Estate agency Berriman Eaton (BE) Worcestershire has capped a strong first three months of trading by officially moving into its new base in the county.

The company, which is run by Debbie Fellows and Julia Simonds, has put the finishing touches to its offices at Churchill & Blakedown Golf Club near Kidderminster.

More than £150,000 has been spent on setting up the new operation and this is already paying dividends as more than £3m of properties have been sold or let by the duo in just a few weeks.

The company now looking to make the most of an extension to the Stamp Duty holiday and increasing demand from buyers looking to move out of the city and into the countryside.

“The Churchill Suite is a real hidden gem, set in the heart of the wonderful Worcestershire countryside and central to the areas we have worked in for over 20 years,” said Simonds.

“In the old days, buyers had to visit the local estate agency shop to find out what properties were available and you had to be on the high street to be seen as an established agency. These days, people can get information, pictures and videos instantly and want more flexibility when it comes to meetings and viewings, meaning we could be a bit more creative with our location.

“We now get to look out across a golf course every day and clients that visit us are wowed by our amazing views. All the technology is now in place and the location is at the heart of all the main villages we have or are looking to have properties in.”

Fellows added: “Our market research told us that one of the most frustrating things for both buyers and sellers is never being able to speak to the same person twice at larger estate agents.

“We took this on board and have ensured that all contact with BE Worcestershire will always be with either Julia or myself and, in just the first three months, we have received so much positive feedback on the personal service, our local understanding and attention to detail.

“A lot of investment has been channelled into social media as a way of showcasing the new brand. Working closely with Taylor Made Media, we have embarked on strong Facebook and Instagram campaigns and this is reaching a massive audience, which is fantastic news for our clients looking to sell.”
