Developer starts on speculative logistics facility

Developer Panattoni has begun speculatively developing a 345,414 sq ft logistics facility at Tamworth.

It says the facility, Tamworth 345, is part of its commitment to a significant speculative development programme in the UK in response to strong demand from occupiers for immediately available space.

Tamworth 345 is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. Buckingham Group Contracting has been appointed main contractor on site.

Simon Jenkins, development director at Panattoni, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us, as land in the West Midlands for building a logistics facility of this scale is very scarce. Our appetite for speculative development reflects the strength of demand from occupiers for immediately available space.”

The appointed agents on the scheme are JLL and Burbage Realty.
