Coach company drives West Midlands expansion

Coach provider FlixBus is growing its offer in the West Midlands.

The company has recently expanded its service to 10 new UK-destinations – now 36 in total – serving more than 60 domestic routes.

Coventry and Leamington Spa are among the cities added to the FlixBus network.

Andreas Schorling, managing director FlixBus UK, said: “We are excited to offer convenient travel to people from Coventry and Leamington Spa as well as expand our offer from Birmingham.

“This is a great time for people in the UK to discover their own country and do so sustainably travelling by coach. Whereas coach travel is already very popular across the UK, we believe that the market still has the potential to grow. Thus far, we have received strong support from the industry to bring in an alternative and a new player that is approaching operators as partners.”

Coaches are departing from Coventry to London every morning at 7:45am. Between Thursday and Monday there is an additional departure in the afternoon, at 2:45pm.

From Leamington Spa there is one departure to the capital every day at 7:15am.

FlixBus has also expanded its offer from Birmingham and added new routes to Bristol, Leeds and Sheffield which are served up to three times a day.

Existing connections from Birmingham are routes to London, Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington.

Since the latest expansion, FlixBus offers up to seven daily connections between London and Birmingham.
