Balfour Beatty contract win

CONSTRUCTION giant Balfour Beatty has won construction management contracts worth more than £80m for civil engineering works on roads across the Midlands.

A four year contract worth £20m covers Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. There is also an option to extend the contract for a further three years.

The company is also one of four contractors to have won the one-year Midlands Framework 4 contract, which is worth around £60m to the company. The contract has a potential one-year extension. The structural works, surfacing and road works will be carried out across the Midlands.

The contract win was one of several the company announced,  with a total value of £270m across the UK highway and rail sectors.
