Abdul Ali, executive director & head of office at SevenHomes

SevenHomes, the regional housebuilder by SevenCapital Group, has appointed Abdul Ali as executive director and head of office, following a period of sustained growth for the business.

Having joined SevenHomes in 2019 as land director, Ali has already played an integral role in the business, having successfully secured several significant residential-led development opportunities across the region and pushing the company forward.

With more than 24 years’ experience and an enviable track record overall, Ali also previously held land roles for national housebuilder Barratt Homes’ West Midlands division.

Ali commented: “Since joining the business, I have worked incredibly hard to support the land acquisition strategy and delivery of some major planning applications with consent achieved on over 600 units.

“I look forward to utilising the knowledge and experience I have gained to date, having a long and successful career with the company and supporting our highly experienced team. We have a very strong pipeline of sites to deliver in line with our growth strategy over the next three years. We remain cautious of the current market conditions and economic uncertainty but remain nimble to adapt as necessary.”

Birmingham-based Navigate Commercial Finance has expanded its team with the appointment of Adam Cooksley as business development manager.

Cooksley has nearly ten years of experience in the finance and sales industry and joins Navigate Commercial Finance from accountancy firm Jerroms, where he also worked as a business development manager, leading the business development of the firm’s financial services.

Adam Cooksley

In his role at Navigate Commercial Finance, Cooksley will work with businesses, professional advisors and strategic partners to source the most appropriate commercial finance to support their working capital needs using a network of specialist lenders. Funding solutions include invoice finance, asset based lending and cashflow loans.

Paul Varley, Managing Director at Navigate Commercial Finance explains: “In the summer we celebrated our one year anniversary and in the last year have seen circa £100m of funding enquiries from a variety of traditional and flexible finance solutions. We have secured finance for 35 businesses across a wide range of sectors. Bringing Adam into the team will help us to drive forward further success, drawing on his established strong relationships and networks within the industry. Adam has impressive business development and relationship management experience and has a solid understanding of the funding needs of SME businesses. He will be a real asset to our growing visible team and I’m looking forward to working alongside him.”

Adam Cooksley, Business Development Manager at Navigate Commercial Finance adds: “We are experiencing unprecedented challenges and with many businesses struggling to find the capital needed to grow it can be difficult to know where to turn. Our role is to make the funding experience easier for both the funder and borrower. I’m looking forward to helping businesses to get the right solution to create a solid platform to develop future success.”
