Law firm breaks through £100m barrier

Richard Medd, managing partner at Browne Jacobson

Law firm Browne Jacobson has announced its financial results for 2022/23 with turnover rising 12% to a record £105m for the year ending 30 April 2023.

The results include first year revenues from Browne Jacobson Ireland.

The figures show that Browne Jacobson has more than doubled its turnover in less than a decade, having turned over £50m in 2014.

Richard Medd, managing partner at Browne Jacobson, said: “This is another impressive set of results for the firm despite domestic and global challenges. Breaking the £100m ceiling for the first time is one of many significant milestones for the firm this year. It also marks the first year that our results include Browne Jacobson Ireland where having a fully integrated network has already started to reap benefits with a strong demand for our services.

“None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our clients and the hard work and dedication of our talented people across all of our six offices.

“Since taking over the reins as managing partner three years ago I have seen the firm go from strength to strength during an unprecedented period of change. We have another exciting year ahead and the investments we have in the pipeline will put us in an even stronger position to deliver for our clients and give great opportunities to our people.”

Highlights for the year saw the opening of the firm’s first international office in Dublin and the relocation of its Birmingham office to 103 Colmore Row.
