Birmingham City Council is set to approve the 2 Snowhill Plaza development tomorrow, which will offer 462 build-to-rent homes.

The scheme, comprising a building of 48-storeys has been proposed by HUB Group, alongside investment group MARK and Metropolitan Workshop Architects along Snow Hill Queensway.

2 Snowhill Plaza has been recommended for approval, subject to a 106 agreement regarding its affordable housing offering. It will need to ensure 9.74% of its units are classed as affordable.

The 462-homes will be a mix of one to three-bedrooms with more than 600 sq m of improvements to be made to public realm surrounding the development.

Active frontages will be provided by commercial units at the ground level, alongside landscaping, seating and a new walkable connection route from Snow Hill Queensway to Weaman Street to improve the street scene.

464 cycle spaces will be provided within the building with no on-site car parking offered.
