Navigate Commercial Finance is celebrating its second year in Birmingham, during which the team has seen £200m of funding requirements across the Midlands.

Navigate Commercial Finance has helped secure new funding facilities for 64 Midlands-based businesses across a wide variety of sectors, with the top three being manufacturing (25%), construction (16%) and wholesale (16%).

The fast-growing firm which has recorded a 15% growth in revenue in the past 12 months, relocated to offices on Colmore Row and strengthened its team with the appointment of Adam Cooksley as business development manager.

Managing director Paul Varley established Navigate Commercial Finance to help SMEs raise finance that is best suited to their needs. The team works directly with businesses as well as a range of professionals including accountants, banks, alternative lenders, and corporate finance specialists to support any of their clients seeking new finance facilities. Principal funding solutions provided include invoice finance, asset-based lending and cashflow loans.

Varley said: “We are rapidly becoming one of the brokers of choice for businesses and professionals across the West Midlands and surrounding areas. Even during these challenging times we’ve seen pockets of confidence in every sector across the region with many businesses far more resilient than anticipated and by being visible, supportive, fast paced  and flexible in our approach we’ve been able to provide a route to finance for many of them. With a strong pipeline taking us into year three, we’re seeing a number of acquisition enquiries as well as refinance and growth opportunities. This suggests confidence is starting to improve and we are always keen to help businesses with their growth aspirations as well as those who may require support during more difficult periods of trading.”
