Developer unveils plans for multi-million-pound business park

Barberry Developments director Martyn Cartwright

A multi-million-pound business park is set to be developed in Worcestershire following the acquisition of a 15-acre development site.

Barberry Developments has purchased the site at Bluebell Farm with plans to deliver up to 225,000 sq ft of warehouse, factory or office space and has a proposed employment allocation in the South Worcestershire Development Plan Review.

Build-to-suit units will also be offered in varied, bespoke sizes for specific occupier requirements.

Barberry Developments director Martyn Cartwright said: “Here at Barberry we are enormously excited to announce the acquisition of another outstanding West Midlands development site. Worcester is already home to many major occupiers such as Worcester Bosch, Mazak and GTech and we believe our new development will attract other significant occupiers.”

Fisher German is retained as the sole agent for the scheme. Partner Richard Tomlinson said: “We are already in discussions with a number of local, regional and national companies who are interested in the opportunities to develop buildings to their own requirements in what is an excellent location in terms of logistics, being close to both the M5 and M50. Barberry Business Park will help to bridge the gap in the shortfall of high-quality freehold employment accommodation”.

Barberry currently has a 2.4 million sq ft industrial & logistics development pipeline with a GDV of more than £355m. The company has 500 acres of strategic residential and employment development land across 12 sites under its control and a growing commercial and residential portfolio.
