Healthcare IT firm makes move from London to Birmingham

Global healthcare IT firm Altera Healthcare, one of the leading providers of electronic patient records in the UK, has made the move from London to Northspring | Temple St in Birmingham city centre.

The company said that after a considerable amount of searching for office space in London and the regions, Northspring | Temple Street was selected from a shortlist of seven other properties in Birmingham.

Emily Fenton, EMEA VP business operations, said: “We are excited to establish our presence in Birmingham. Northspring is centrally located, making it more convenient for our associates and clients to collaborate in-person, enabling the continued development of innovative solutions for NHS rusts and ICSs, there’s also the convenience of using the amenities like the business lounge in Northspring properties in Manchester and Leeds, and the fantastic amenities in Temple St.”

“We’re delighted Altera are moving into Northspring | Temple St,” says George Jennings, director at Avison Young. “The seventhfloor has stunning views of the city centre from its private balcony and it’s no surprise we’ve achieved a record rent per square foot for Birmingham with this latest deal.”

Northspring | Temple Street has seen a flurry of lettings recently, with Caddick Construction and Investigo moving into the building. Property developer, MUSE and McLaughlin & Harvey have recently signed up too.

Avison Young and Lambert Smith Hampton are the acting agents on the building.
