Toy retailer to unveil flagship store

The Fort Shopping Park is set to welcome Birmingham toy retailer Booghe after the firm secured a six-figure loan from HSBC.
Booghe is using funds to open a two-storey, 5,868 sq ft retail store which will include play zones, demo areas, photo and drawing walls, and a dedicated virtual reality and arcade space on June 28.
The flagship store is set to create 30 new jobs in The Fort, with an anticipated turnover of £5.2m a year.
This store will be the first of several new Booghe locations, with the retailer planning to open a new store every 6-12 months, starting in the West Midlands.
The company has partnered with Atrio Design and FB Holdings to bring the store concept to life, by incorporating bold colours and uniquely shaped displays to guide shoppers through the two floors.
Krishna Yadlapalli, Founder of Booghe commented: “We’ve been an online business for over a decade, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to set up a physical retail presence and connect with more customers.
“The Fort is the top retail park in Birmingham, attracting around 4.8 million visitors each year. We’re excited to bring the joy of toys and play to life through an immersive and unforgettable experience.”
Parinda Nanayakkara, Relationship Manager at HSBC UK, said: “This new and innovative store is a great addition to Birmingham’s retail offering and marks the latest stage in Booghe’s growth. We are delighted to have been able to support Booghe make its vision for the store a reality.”
