Cable management specialist powers up with funding boost

DP Building Systems

A Birmingham-based distributor of cable management systems, DP Building Systems has secured a £200,000 funding package from UKSE.

Established in 1998 and family-owned, DP Building Systems supplies specialised cable and power management systems to industries such as building, construction, mechanical, engineering, IT and data.

With this funding, DP Building Systems plans to digitise its internal operations by implementing a CRM system.

The firm also aims to create 10 new job roles, including positions in technical sales, distribution, warehousing and apprenticeships.

DP Building Systems managing director Rob White said: “After securing the funding from UKSE, we will be able to invest in our IT systems to support the growth of the business. We have won some prestigious contracts recently and the funding will support the recruitment of an additional 10 job roles, including the investment in apprenticeships.”

UKSE offers finance up to £1m to support local businesses in the West Midlands, providing equity finance that allows management to retain control, alongside patient capital and partnership.

UKSE regional executive Mike Lowe said: “Rob and the team at DP Building Systems have been a pleasure to work with. They have some exciting new contracts on the horizon and we are thrilled that the UKSE funding will facilitate the growth of the business.”
