Pub undergoes refurbishment to become traditional community pub

The Paddox pub in Hill Morton, Rugby, will undergo a £258,000 refurbishment by Heineken-owned Star Pubs.
It previously operated as a bar with an Indian food offering, will be transformed into a traditional community pub.
Building work will start on July 1, and The Paddox is set to reopen at the end of August, creating 15 new jobs.
The renovated pub will show live sports, host quizzes, open mic nights, and other entertainment. It will also establish darts and pool teams for local leagues.
The refurbishment will include new signage, festoon lighting and increased external seating for 50 people, doubling the current capacity.
Inside, there will be seating for 64, with areas for lounging, dining, drinking and sports. The sports area will have a pool table and darts, and six TVs will be installed for viewing from all parts of the pub.
Lee Dishington, Investment Manager at Star Pubs said: “The Paddox will reopen with new management in time for the new school year. It is ideally located for families, as it is situated on a major junction close to Ashlawn secondary school as well as near to The Paddox Primary School and Hilmorton Primary School.”
