Popeyes to create over 500 jobs with six new West Midlands locations

Popeyes UK is expanding in the West Midlands with the opening of six new locations, including its first UK airport restaurant and first rail station location outside of London.
The move will bring over 500 new jobs to the region.
As part of Popeye’s plan to open more than 45 new locations throughout the UK in 2025, the expansion follows the popularity of its first Birmingham opening in August 2024.
Two key travel hubs will be opened, with one restaurant located airside at Birmingham Airport and the other at Birmingham New Street Station.
Popeyes is also bringing its signature fried chicken to Birmingham’s suburbs, with new sites at The Fort Shopping Park, Tyseley, and Perry Barr.
The region’s first Popeyes Drive-Thru will also open in Wednesbury, Sandwell.
Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK chief executive officer said: “The West Midlands is a key region for us, and the incredible response to our first location in Birmingham city centre has shown just how much demand there is for Popeyes here. With six new locations opening later this year – including our first-ever airport site in the UK and first rail station outside London – we can’t wait to bring a true taste of New Orleans to even more people and become a valued part of each of these communities.”
Each of the new locations will offer both dine-in and takeaway options, with Popeyes fan-favourites like the Chicken Sandwich, Hot Wings, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps available in Classic, Spicy, and BBQ varieties.
All chicken is halal certified, marinated for 12 hours, hand-breaded, and battered for its signature ‘Shatter Crunch.’
Popeyes will also introduce its new Saucin’ Boneless and Hot Wings range, featuring New Orleans-inspired flavours like Garlic Parm, BBQ, and Buffalo.
For breakfast, customers can enjoy items like the Big Cajun Roll, Cajun Hash Browns, and Nutella-topped buttermilk biscuits.
