Funding to drive MoD contract for military equipment supplier

A ceremonial regalia clothing and equipment business has secured funding from HSBC, to drive forward a new deal with the Ministry of Defence.
Ammo and Company will use the package from HSBC UK to supply basic training uniforms for new army recruits as part of its new MoD contract.
Founded 150 years ago in Birmingham, Ammo supplies uniforms and equipment for traditional ceremonial events of the British Army, such as Trooping the Colour and Firing of the Royal Salute by The King’s Troop of the Royal Horse Artillery.
It’s the sole supplier of tents, rucksacks, sleeping bags and camping equipment for training cadets based in the UK, as well as bespoke clothing and ceremonial regalia wear for use in the UK armed forces. Some examples of the goods are ceremonial gloves and staffs, musical instruments such as trumpets and bugles, flags and flag poles, uniforms, belts, ties, and badges.
Ammo was recently awarded the Kings Award for Enterprise under International Trade, in recognition of its significant growth in Commonwealth countries such as New Zealand and Canada. Following its impressive domestic growth, the business will be using its improved cashflow to focus on further expansion in the US and Canada.
Carlos Nuche, finance director at Ammo and Company, said: “We’re entering a period of remarkable growth and we’re pleased to receive financial support from HSBC UK to make this a reality. The bank’s commitment to understanding our unique needs and providing tailored solutions has been instrumental in our success.”
Zeshan Hussain, relationship manager at HSBC UK, added: “We’re pleased to be able to support Ammo and Company in unlocking domestic and international success, and look forward to seeing the business reach its full commercial potential.”
