Greene King’s new brand coming to Stoke-on-Trent

Stoke-on-Trent will soon host Greene King’s new brand, HighTales, which is set to debut in the city this autumn.

Simon Doney, who has over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including roles at Alton Towers Hotel and Hickory’s Smokehouse, has been appointed as general manager to lead the new venture.

The former Hungry Horse Hem Heath pub in Trentham is being revamped with a multi-million-pound investment to create ‘experience zones’ that will include cinemas, sensory play areas and pop-up food trucks.

HighTales menu will range from Asian-fusion to classic British options, such as fish and chips and foot-long pizzas. With a varied events program.

Simon Doney, general manager at HighTales said: “I’m thrilled to have officially started as General Manager of HighTales, and to be on the journey delivering what we believe will be an exciting new brand – unique to anything else on out there – to Stoke, and our customers.

“I have a passion for delivering the very best guest experiences, and I’m proud that in launching HighTales we’ll be able to offer the very best in experience-led dining and entertainment. Whether that’s memorable family mealtimes, or enjoying food and drinks with friends, with HighTales we’ll go that one step further to provide everyday escapism and guarantee an experience that ticks every box. It’s going to be an exciting ride.

“We can’t wait to open our doors to this landmark brand later this year and show off this new concept to both existing and new customers. I look forward to welcoming each and every one of our guests that are looking for something a bit different while why socialise and dine.”
