Logistics group swoops for Wolverhampton unit in £17m deal

Urban Logistics REIT has acquired a Wolverhampton industrial unit from Oxenwood Real Estate in a £17m deal.

The 145,998 sq ft unit is let to Ibstock Bricks, a manufacturer of clay bricks, concrete products and building solutions until 2033, with a first break in 2028.

The facility is located on Hilton Cross Business Park at Featherstone by junction 1 of the M54 and close to junction 10a of the M6.

Oxenwood acquired the site in December 2021 from the occupier MANN+HUMMEL, a global filtration technology company, by Oxenwood for Oxenwood Catalina, its joint venture with Catalina Holdings (Bermuda).

The unit was then leased back to MANN+HUMMEL on a short lease. Oxenwood and MANN+HUMMEL had agreed on the terms for a lease surrender, and Ibstock took occupation of the facility following the completion of a refurbishment.
