Bromsgrove-based Vigo Software, a privately owned business working in the logistics software market has been acquired by Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS), a provider of commercial software solutions.

With 40 years of experience in the industry, Vigo specialises in designing, building, and hosting Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for customers across the UK and Ireland.

Its solutions help businesses reduce transport costs, optimise delivery routes, meet deadlines and improve customer service with on-time delivery transparency.

The combined Vigo-KCS platform hopes to offer customers improved stock visibility, operational efficiencies in logistics and enhanced client communication.

Vigo also provides real-time driver mobile apps with features like route scheduling and electronic proof of delivery, complementing KCS’s existing logistics and field service offerings.

Michelmores advised on the sale and was led by partner Adam Kean and associate Ben Adams, with tax expertise provided by senior associate Anthony Reeves.

John Vickers, managing director of Vigo, said: “I would like to thank the Michelmores team for helping us successfully navigate our sale to KCS. I am delighted to announce that we will be joining forces – our combination represents an opportunity to provide greater value to our customers in terms of accelerating the pace at which we bring innovation and supply chain efficiency-enhancing technology to our customers.”
