Law firm relocates Birmingham office to fuel growth and sustainability goals
In a move to fuel its growth and sustainability goals, an international law firm has relocated its Birmingham office to the heart of the Colmore Business District
Trowers & Hamlins has secured a 10-year lease at One Snow Hill, for 17,000 sq ft located on floor 3, relocating from 10 Colmore Row, where it had been based for more than 13 years.
The firm collaborated with Knight Frank on the lease agreement, and CBRE and Overbury handled the office fit-out.
Partner and head of the Birmingham office, Yetunde Dania said: “We are so excited about moving to our new office, it brings an enhanced new working environment for our staff and vibrant space for our clients to enjoy. The move demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the city, remaining in the same business district to not only continue being accessible for clients but also to accommodate our continued growth. This also supports our firmwide growth strategy and our mission to be more sustainable as a business. We’re really looking forward to welcoming everybody.”
Head of facilities and property, Rob Slater said: “As part of our ongoing investment commitment to our Real Estate, the relocation will bring together our people into a contemporary workspace that is primarily designed to support hybrid working, featuring new flexible areas to support both collaborative and individual focus working, alongside excellent meeting, and event spaces, to enhance our clients and visitors experience.
The commitment of the owner Union Investment to sustainability at One Snow Hill, including sourcing renewable energy, improving the EPC rating, and plans for decarbonisation by replacing natural gas with electric alternatives, was a key factor in our decision to relocate.”
