Merry Hill expands leisure quarter offering with new restaurant

Carlo Lounge, East Grinstead

Merry Hill is set to welcome restaurant Lounges, managed by hospitality business Loungers, in Janurary 2025, with the opening of Toledo Lounge.

The new 3,200 sq ft space will serve Lounges’ all-day menu, alongside a drinks list, which features anything from breakfast hot drinks to evening cocktails.

Since opening its first location in 2007, the hospitality brand has grown, celebrating its 200th Lounge opening last year.

Toledo Lounge will join anchor tenant Hollywood Bowl, as well as fellow dining restaurants ASK Italian, wagamama, Wingstop and Bon Pan Asia, as one of the final additions to Merry Hill’s leisure quarter.

Alistair Winning, asset manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, said: “Several dining brands have been added to Merry Hill’s new leisure quarter in the past 12 months, and Lounges are another who will help shape this vibrant hub for eating and entertainment. Lounges’ relaxed environment will fit seamlessly with Merry Hill’s vision to create a welcoming environment for customers to enjoy.”

Gemma Irwin, head of community at Loungers, said: “We’re so looking forward to opening the doors of Toledo Lounge next year. We hope our family-friendly environment and top-notch food and drink offerings will prove popular with shoppers and residents. We’re passionate about integrating genuinely into the communities we serve so we’re looking forward to meeting everyone and playing our part at the heart of Merry Hill’s food and drink scene. Anyone looking for a space to host events or groups should pop in once we’re open, we’d love to hear from them and see what we can do to help.”
