Gerald Eve, a Newmark Company, has announced four new senior hires to its Birmingham office.

Adrian Griffith and George Jennings will be driving forward the national office agency offering, whilst Matt Jenns and Richard Fletcher-Brewer will lead the Midlands capital markets team, focussing on the commercial sectors.

Griffith has 21 years of industry experience acting for major occupiers and landlords, including multiple office acquisitions across the Midlands for National Grid and Cadent, as well as acting for Blackrock in a leasing capacity on Birmingham Business Park.

George Jennings, one of Birmingham’s leading office agents, also brings more than 20 years of experience in office agency, acting on behalf of many private and public sector clients, specialising in acquisitions and disposals within Birmingham. Both Adrian and George join from Avison Young.

Jenns and Fletcher-Brewer join from Savills, bringing 15 and 16 years of industry experience, respectively.

Previously leading an investment team in Birmingham, Jenns works with a wide range of clients providing strategic advice on standing investments and development funding across various sectors.

Fletcher-Brewer previously worked as a director in a London Capital Markets team, specialising in the industrial and logistics market.

He also previously worked in Hong Kong where he advised top-tier organisations on their real estate portfolios.

Julia Chowings, head of Gerald Eve’s Birmingham office, said: “It is great to add four new strings to our bow in Birmingham. We have a dynamic and ever-expanding team in the Midlands with specialists across Industrial & Logistics, Planning & Development, Building Consultancy & Lease Exit, and Business Rates. Connectivity across the international network of experts, which we now have access to via Newmark, is a huge draw for those who are looking to excel and offer creative solutions to clients. We look forward to welcoming others in the new year.”

Harris Lamb has strengthened its planning consultancy with the addition of a new planner to its 10-strong team.

Delilah Green joins the team with a master’s degree in spatial planning and development from Cardiff University, having spent the past two years at a consultancy in Shrewsbury.

Simon Hawley, head of Harris Lamb’s planning department, said: “This is a key time within the sector as we await the results of the Government’s consultation into the National Planning Policy Framework, which looks set to kickstart the biggest reform to the planning system in more than a decade. Already we are working with clients to explain the proposed changes and to help them identify new growth opportunities, and as we anticipate the coming months being exceptionally busy as clients move with their submissions, we must strengthen our team so that we are poised to support them.

“Delilah impressed us with the knowledge and understanding that she has built up since graduating in 2022, and her background within the private sector has provided her with a good foundation to work alongside our team on a variety of national projects. In particular, her experience of working on applications relating to areas of constraint will make her a real asset to our team.”

Green has worked at Green Planning Studio since her graduation and said: “Having built up a strong understanding of planning policy and legal frameworks over the past two years, I was attracted to the multi-disciplinary nature of the business, and its experienced and comprehensive planning team.

“As a Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Licentiate member, I am focused on working towards chartership as I broaden my experience and refine my skills within the sector. Harris Lamb has a well-established reputation for mentoring and supporting team members with their career path, and it feels like a place I can grow my career.”

MK2 Real Estate has added to its property management team with five new appointments.

Becky Glover and Amy Bond have joined the Birmingham-based property firm as client accountants, while Lindsey Biddle joins as a surveyor.

Richard Coley has also been appointed as a senior accounts payroll administrator, with Mandy Lloyd brought in to support the team as property management PA, as well as general office manager.

The new appointments take the property management team’s total headcount to 19 and follow the recent appointments of Henry Gyselman, Gordon Davis and Shreya Yadev.

Marcello Della Croce, director and head of MK2’s property management team, said: “We’re pleased to welcome the new recruits to the team, which will give us increased capacity to service new and existing clients.

“The overall growth of the team reflects the strong year the property management team has had, with several significant new instructions.”
