Plans approved for new homes in Worcestershire village
40 homes are set to be built in a Worcestershire village called Fernhill Heath after development plans were approved.
William Davis Homes will develop the site, located on a 2.2-hectare plot off Dilmore Lane, with construction scheduled to begin in late 2025.
Wychavon District Council’s planning committee approved the plans on December 5th.
It will include 17 different house types, ranging from one- to five-bedroom homes, with a mix of bungalows and two-and-a-half-storey properties.
The homes will be finished with brick and tile and include brick verges, canopies, or porches, and detailed brickwork.
Of the 40 homes, 16 will be affordable housing, including properties available for first-time buyers under the First Homes scheme, offering discounts of up to 30% off market value.
Sarah Whetton, group land director for William Davis Homes, said: “We are pleased to have our plans for development in Fernhill Heath approved.
“We take great pride in the design and craftsmanship which goes into our developments, and we believe these plans will create an attractive development of quality new homes to help meet housing needs in this part of the West Midlands. We look forward to releasing the first homes for sale and welcoming the first residents to their new homes in 2026.”
