Vehicle repair business secures six-figure funding for flagship site

A family-run vehicle repair business has secured a new commercial premises with the help of a six-figure funding package from Lloyds.

Impact Repair Centre, which operates four locations across the West Midlands – including Redditch, Warwick, Bromsgrove, and its new flagship site in Lifford Lane, Birmingham – has used the £760,000 package to purchase the commercial unit.

Led by Sam Lowe, who took over from his late father Tony in 2020, the business handles repairs for insurers and manufacturers like Jaguar, Land Rover, and BMW, employing more than 85 people.

The company plans to introduce solar panels to its new site as part of a larger initiative to reduce its carbon footprint.

Impact Repair Centre aims to increase turnover by 25% in the next financial year and is set to expand its workforce to over 100 employees to meet demand.

The company is also developing advanced repair techniques to support the shift toward electric and hybrid vehicles, positioning itself as a partner of choice for automotive brands focused on sustainability.

Sam Lowe, director of Impact Repair Centre said: “The vehicle repair industry hasn’t always had the best track record when it comes to sustainability, but that’s something we’re determined to change. Lloyds has been an exceptional partner throughout our journey. Their support has been critical in helping us secure this commercial unit, which will have a lasting positive impact on our long-term growth. Their backing has given us the confidence to pursue new sustainability projects like solar panels and to future-proof our business in an ever-evolving industry.

“Our goal is to reduce our environmental impact while improving the service we offer to our customers. By acquiring our current space, we can strengthen our foundations for growth and roll out sustainable initiatives like solar energy, which will benefit both our operations and the environment.”

Lewis Sheen, relationship manager at Lloyds said: “Impact Repair Centre is a shining example of how family businesses can innovate, grow, and lead the way on sustainability. From day one, it was clear that Sam and the team were committed to creating a more environmentally conscious business model, and we’re proud to support them on that journey.

“Through this purchase, the firm has strengthened its long-term financial position and is now better equipped to pursue its green initiatives, including the rollout of solar energy. We’re excited to see how the business continues to grow and evolve in the years ahead.”
