High interest in Harborne residential scheme

A BIRMINGHAM residential development has offered further proof that the area’s housing market may at last be emerging from recession.

Birmingham Properties Group said the first phase of its Harborne Central development is virtually sold out, only four months since the launch.

Only one apartment out of an initial batch of 20 to be released is still available, while the company said there was already strong interest in the second phase of the development, which will include a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments.

Harborne Central, situated in High Street, Harborne, comprises 64 apartments and 16 townhouses.

John Tebbutt, managing director of Birmingham Properties Group, said: “We have consistently kept ahead of our sales targets since launching Harborne Central in October, which is testament to the quality and popularity of the scheme.

“While the specification and design of the apartments is first rate, the prices are very realistic and affordable, so naturally they are selling well.”

Most of the buyers to date are said to be young professionals eager to benefit from the area’s proximity to Birmingham city centre.

Also, many of the purchasers have previously rented in Harborne and are now confident enough to venture onto the property ladder.

Mr Tebbutt said one factor enhancing the appeal of the properties was parking space – off-road parking is at a premium in Harborne, as is street parking.

Features include custom designed kitchens with built-in appliances, luxury bathrooms with white designer sanitary ware and fitted wardrobes to all bedrooms.
