Tipton & Coseley offers new accounts

TIPTON and Coseley Building Society has launched two new savings accounts for investors who do not need instant access to their savings.

The Tipton’s new postal account, the Premier 30 is targeted at savers who want high investment returns.

Savers with £50,000 or more will benefit from a highly competitive 3.25% gross rate of interest on their investment, while those investing between £25,000 and £49,999 will earn 3.15% gross and 3.05% gross for savings between £10,000 and £24,999.

The account requires a minimum investment of £10,000 and a 30-day notice period for all withdrawals. The rate of interest is variable and includes a 1.8% introductory bonus which is payable for the first 12 months following inception of the account.

Conversely if branch access rather than postal correspondence is preferable, but higher returns on investment remain a priority, then the society has introduced its new Hallmark 30 account.

This account also offers a competitively high rate of interest and is targeted at savers who have a minimum of £10,000 to invest and who do not need immediate access to their funds.

A branch managed notice account, savers with £50,000 or more can benefit from 3.00% gross rate of interest on their savings and as with the Premier 30, all withdrawals require a 30-day notice period and interest can either be paid annually as a lump sum or as a monthly income.

The new accounts will be available to the building society’s existing customer base as well as new savers.

Information is now available via the Tipton’s four branches across the region in Tipton, Coseley, Sedgley and Bilston or via the website www.thetipton.co.uk.

The Premier 30 account is only available to people who live within the immediate local area for The Tipton – covering households whose postcodes begin with DY, WV, WS or B.

Chris Martin, the Tipton’s Chief Executive said: “Over the last two years savers have borne the brunt of falling interest rates and these accounts offer members an opportunity to improve their returns”.
