Rail firms urged to attend trade show

FIRMS in the Midlands with connections to the rail industry are being urged to attend a key event in the region.
The Infra Rail show at the National Exhibition Centre between April 13-15 is an opportunity for rail companies to meet foreign buyers and land potential deals.
With the recent announcement of the new High Speed Rail Link between London and Birmingham and the ongoing improvements to New Street Station, the rail sector’s profile is currently high.
In Coventry and Warwickshire, where more than 100 companies are involved in the rail sector in some way, the area’s chamber of commerce has advised firms to attend.
The chamber is working in conjunction with UK Trade and Investment and Advantage West Midlands to help boost trade in the sector.
Representatives from Spain, Hong Kong, Turkey and Hungary have already confirmed their attendance with more expected to follow.
Malcolm Vaughan, of the chamber’s international trade team, said: “The rail sector is very important to Coventry and Warwickshire and this event is an ideal opportunity for companies in the industry.
“To be given the chance to meet buyers from across the world and get the opportunity to highlight your company’s products and services is one that really shouldn’t be missed.”
