Kleinwort Benson strengthens Birmingham team

KLEINWORT Benson has strengthened its team in Birmingham with two new appointments.

Jennifer Macintyre joins as a senior private banker, with Samantha Brown taking up the role of team private banking assistant.  They join Graham Lucas, who has been based in the Birmingham office for the last four years.

Ms Macintyre has worked in wealth management for more than seven years, most recently at Investec, where she was a senior investment practitioner, managing bespoke investment portfolios for a number of high net worth international families.

She began her career with Coutts and Co and has broad experience of advising clients in all areas of wealth planning.

Appointed to work alongside her, and to support the wealth management team as a whole, Ms Brown joins the private bank from Coutts & Co.

Ms Brown, who began her career with HSBC where she worked in a wide variety of client facing roles, will be help to supporting clients in a business development role.

Colin Rowe, head of private wealth management for the regions, said he was pleased with the new appointments.

“Jennifer is a highly experienced practitioner and the financial acumen she has brought to the Birmingham team will be of immense benefit to clients and her colleagues alike.  Both Jennifer and Samantha have already become an integral part of our broader regional team and it is a pleasure to have them on board,” he said.

Kleinwort Benson said it expected the change of control in its business, from Commerzbank to RHJ International, to be completed in July as it moves towards becoming the UK and Channel Islands’ leading independently owned wealth management and fund services provider.
