Truck dealer secures retailer contract win

TRUCK dealer the Hartshorne Group has been awarded the maintenance contract to service more than 400 trailers for Boots.

The deal sees Hartshorne, which has major depots in Burton-on-Trent and Walsall, servicing and repairing 430 trailers.

It will be carried out on behalf of Lawrence David Trailers Asset Management, of Peterborough.

Hartshorne has transferred eight full-time employees to carry out the contract which will involve working at Boots’ headquarters in Nottingham and at Hartshorne’s workshops in Stretton, Burton.

East Midlands director Kevin Taylor said: “Boots trailer fleet is a very important contract for both us and Lawrence David Trailers. We are delighted to be awarded this contract.

“It is a tremendous vote of confidence in the service we already provide throughout the region via our Volvo Truck and our Truck and Trailer Solutions division in Stretton.”

The Boots fleet of trailers are largely supplied by UK trailer company Lawrence David for which Hartshorne is the main dealer for central England.
