Clive Reeves PR makes a splash with new contract

THE Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), a trade organisation representing 70 companies across the UK, has appointed Birmingham-based Clive Reeves PR to deliver a consumer awareness campaign around its Water Label. The appointment was made in anticipation of the government’s Water for Life White Paper, which challenges the industry to educate consumers about the Water Label so they can make informed choices when purchasing new bathroom products. David Kuczora, consultant at Clive Reeves PR, said: “The Water Label is well-respected within the industry here and abroad. The BMA has received endorsement for the scheme not only from Defra but also in principle as a Europe-wide scheme for taps and showers under CEIR the European Association for the Valve Industry, which represents 14 national trade associations, 340 companies and the valve industry that is worth in excess of £19bn.”

Purple Rage lands new distribution deal

WORCESTERSHIRE software company Purple Rage has been appointed sole UK and Ireland distributor for German firm DeskCenter Solutions. The Malvern company will distribute all of DeskCenter’s products with the exception of Studio which will be unveiled later this year. The software, used to centrally manage and control IT infrastructure, is operated by companies and organisations including Volkswagen and FIFA. Jan Gregson, Purple Rage’s sales and channels director, said: “DeskCenter is aimed at SME companies in the public, private and financial sectors who want to cut costs and help the environment.”  Purple Rage Software was founded by Jan Gregson and technical director Rob Dixon. Other major brands distributed or resold by the company include NovaStor, Peer Software and Likewise.

Cooper Solutions makes a lot of new auction site

WARWICKSHIRE firm Cooper Solutions has hired David Goode to monitor activity on its trade vehicle auction site FullAuction. The Barford firm, which designs web-based solutions for over 1,000 UK franchised car dealers, said the
59-year-old, from Kenilworth, had considerable experience of the automotive industry having previously been employed across Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon with Rybrook BMW and Mini. Barry Cooper, managing director at Cooper Solutions, said: “We are delighted to have David on board and I am sure his experience and expertise will prove invaluable.”
