Promotions at Cobbetts
THE Birmingham office of law firm Cobbetts LLP has made five promotions across a number of its key service lines.
Three associates have been promoted to director: Nick Dawson (corporate), Julie Newell (real estate) and Helen Briant (commercial litigation).
Dawson and Newell both joined Cobbetts in 2005 from DLA Piper. Briant began her training with Lee Crowder in 2003 prior to its May 2004 merger with Cobbetts.
Elsewhere, two solicitors from the office have been promoted to associate: Lorna Scully (employment) and Darren Kenny (commercial litigation).

In total, 10 promotions were made to director level across the firm’s Birmingham, Leeds, London and Manchester offices, while 17 have been made associate.
