DCS buoyant on the back of record sales and export figures

STRATFORD-based health, beauty and household brands distributor DCS is reporting record sales figures for the first quarter.
Sales have jumped 13% at DCS Central to £16.5m. March was a record month for exports at £1.2m – the best performing month for two years. Export sales are 8% up in Q1.
Meanwhile DCS Manufacturing has seen sales increase by 18%. The firm’s High Street discount division also had a record March.
DCS own brand Enliven saw sales up by 22% this year with most growth coming from exports, which are 38% up.
Chairman and CEO Denys Shortt said: “Our strategy is key to the growth of DCS and we are delighted with the first quarter of 2012.
“Exports are especially encouraging after all the turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa. We look forward to delivering growth for the rest of the year.”
