Two in as Spitfire plans southern campaign

COLESHILL-based housebuilder Spitfire Property Group has appointed two new directors to assist with the company’s growth and help it expand into the south of the country.
Doug Glassford has been appointed to the role of technical and construction director and will oversee the whole construction process – from planning and approval through to on-site construction and customer care.
Chris Mattey has been appointed land director for the southern region and will identify suitable sites for Spitfire in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Surrey.
The two specialists bring more than 50 years’ experience in the house building industry to Spitfire.
Glassford joined from CALA Homes, where he was architectural manager for nine years. Prior to that post he worked at Redrow and David Wilson Homes.
Mattey, who previously worked at Bryant Homes and Crest Nicholson, said: “Spitfire concentrates on a custom-built approach, offering individual site specific solutions to upmarket locations and I am looking forward to finding suitable opportunities in the south region.”
