ICFIB launches new initiative for family firms

THE Drayton Manor-based International Centre for Families in Business (ICFIB) has launched a membership structure for family firms.

Chief executive Dani Saveker, who was fourth generation in her own family’s manufacturing business, said:  “I wanted to focus on the proactive elements of working with family businesses.

“We launched our family business membership as a result of families telling us they wanted a ‘go to’ community to share issues without judgement and in a trusted environment.

“We now also provide a series of exceptional leadership and development workshops, peer groups for incumbent and next generation family members and a mentoring scheme to name just a few of our recent areas of focus.”

The IFCIB is also planning to launch other initiatives including a family business exchange programme, the family business dream board and the family business mark of excellence.
