Avon calling to Aussie fleet management firm
AUSTRALIAN fleet management company sgfleet has taken 2,000 sq ft of office space at Avon House, Shirley, Solihull, as part of on-going UK expansion plans.
The firm has taken a five year lease on the space.
sgfleet, which operates from bases in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, specialises in international fleet management and salary packaging solutions. The company was founded in the 1980s in Australia, and established its UK operations in 2007. The sales and customer service team will relocate from serviced offices in Leamington to the new office.
Speaking about his company’s move, David Fernandes,managing director for sgfleet in the UK, said: “It is vital for us to be able to access our national client base easily, whilst offering a convenient location for our staff.
“We were particularly attracted by the modern aspect of the building, as well as the proximity to the motorway network and accessibility of local amenities. This move will serve us very well for the future.”
Angus Huntley of GBR Phoenix Beard, who represented the landlord Metis Developments on the letting, said: “With occupancy levels exceeding 80%, I am confident of the long-term success of Avon House.
“When you take into consideration the high parking ratios, BREEAM ‘very good’ rating and prominence on the A34 corridor, I think the long term sustainability of the scheme is extremely positive.
Avon House is situated on the Stratford Road in Shirley. The building comprises 26,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation over four floors, as well as ground floor retail space let to Avanti Kitchens.
GBR Phoenix Beard is joint letting agent for the building alongside GVA.
