Shropshire support business enters administration

A SHROPSHIRE-based industry support business has entered administration. BMI (Hose) Ltd also operates a large calls centre in Wolverhampton.
The company supplies an emergency on-site industrial hose replacement service. It serves a wide range of businesses, both large and small, in the transport and logistics, manufacturing, waste collection and disposal, construction, agriculture and defence sectors.
The company is believed to have liabilities of almost £800,000 and owes more than £200,000 to creditors. However, it is due more than £1.2m from trade debtors.
David Bennett and Paul J Addison, of Grant Thorn in Birmingham, have been appointed joint administrators of the business.
The company, which is based at Stafford Park, Telford, was established in 2007. It set up a 24,000 ft² base in Wolverhampton and followed this up with the opening of its first sales centre in Dudley later that year.
This was followed by outlets in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Reading and Bristol. Other centres include Glasgow, Gloucester, London, Medway, Scunthorpe, Stoke-on-Trent, Swansea and Wakefield.
