EFG-IFA first wealth management firm to join Birmingham Forward

FINANCIAL advisor EFG-IFA has become the first such firm to join the city’s professional services lobbying group Birmingham Forward.
EFG-IFA is part of EFG International which operates in more than 30 locations worldwide and is headquartered in Zurich.
The firm was created by combining EFG Ashby London and EFG Platts Fello, the IFA businesses of EFG Private Bank Ltd.
The Birmingham office is based in the old Stock Exchange building in Charles Street. The firm also has offices in Wolverhampton and London.
John Male is the UK managing director with former Ashby London head Peter London as chairman and well-known West Midlands property investor Paul Bassi as a non-executive director.
Male said: “We are pleased to be the only stand-alone independent financial advisers to be members of Birmingham Forward and we look forward to making the most of our membership in the coming year and building on our already strong network of contacts throughout the city.”
Joint interim executive vice chairs Nicola Fleet-Milne and Sally Beavan said: “Birmingham Forward provides a unique voice for the city’s substantial professional quarter and we are always keen to ensure that our members provide the fullest range of services to the region’s growing businesses and wealth creators.”
