Major contract win for Synectics

WARWICKSHIRE-based security and surveillance group Synectics has won a three-year contract with Stagecoach, one of the UK’s largest bus operators.

The Studley company, formerly Quadnetics, has worked with Stagecoach for ten years. It will supply, install and maintain new CCTV systems across Stagecoach’s fleet of vehicles under the continued partnership, worth more than £5m over three years.

The contract addresses new requirements, for example from Transport for London, for a higher quality of captured image and increased storage capacity.

John Shepherd, CEO of Synectics, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by Stagecoach to continue our successful ten year partnership.

“The Synectics solution addresses the needs for increased image quality and recording times, along with improved storage capacity.

“We look forward to working with Stagecoach to further improve passenger safety, reduce crime and combat fraudulent insurance claims over the next three years and beyond.”

Synectics is is a leader in the design, integration, control and management of advanced surveillance technology and networked security systems.

This is the latest in a series of major contract wins for the firm.

In March, the company secured a £7m contract through its subsidiary in Singapore which involves it working on the first phase of a security and CCTV system for a large corporate client.

And in February, the firm secured a £2.7m contract to provide security and CCTV support services to Avon and Somerset Police.
