Sellick Partnership recruits from rival

STOKE-on-Trent-based legal recruitment specialist Sellick Partnership has strengthened its private practice division with the appointment of Gemma Crossley.

Formerly a consultant at BCL Legal, Crossley will be joining an established team headed up by associate director Amy Bullock to focus on developing the Sellick Partnership brand across the West Midlands and North West within the permanent private practice market.

Bullock said: “Over the last couple of years, Gemma has built up a strong reputation across the region, and has really developed her name in the private practice market. Her experience and market knowledge within the legal market, will enable us to widen our scope across the North West and West Midlands.

“She will be a major asset to Sellick Partnership and play a key part in supporting our growth plans for the future.”

TBG Learning gets its house in order

AN adult and youth learning organisation has taken a step towards leaving a ‘national footprint’ with the appointment of a new senior head of department.

Birmingham-based TBG Learning, which is part of charity Rehab Group and has 19 learning centres across England and Wales, has appointed Gerwyn House as its new head of employer services.

The company offers a range of personalised learning programmes that have helped thousands of people to gain skills and move on to apprenticeships, jobs and into college.

House joins TBG Learning having led Lifetime Health and Fitness and Charnwood Training through sustained periods of growth on a national scale.

He will be responsible for managing TBG Learning’s contracts with a range of organisations and promoting the company across the country.

Andrew Conlan-Trant, head of TBG Learning, said he is delighted to welcome someone of House’s experience to the team.

He said: “Gerwyn has demonstrated in his previous roles the ability to build on such foundations and we believe he can achieve similar success with TBG Learning.”

Amadeus bring in experienced sales director

NEC-based event and catering firm Amadeus has appointed Chris Reynolds as sales director with a brief to drive new business and maximise opportunities for existing clients.

Following a successful interim period with the caterer, Reynolds will head up the sales team and has ambitious new business targets for 2013-14 to grow the Amadeus external venue business

Bringing a wealth of experience gained in senior roles at Compass Group UK & Ireland, as well as Sodexo and Sutcliffe, Reynolds has built an impressive 29 year career in the industry.

Kevin Watson, managing director, Amadeus, said: “Since joining Amadeus ten months ago, Chris has been responsible for delivering £8.5m of new business including new contracts at the Library of Birmingham, Stratford Riverside, Lawn Tennis Association Eastbourne and RHS Tatton Park Flower Show together with an extension of the existing contract with the Professional Golf Association at the Scottish Open.”
