New tenant at Edgbaston business complex

GE Capital Real Estate has secured a new a tenant at its Hagley Road business park development in Birmingham.
The West Midlands Specialised Commissioning Team, part of the NHS, has signed a six-year lease for a total of 10,208 sq ft, therefore bringing together its three existing regional offices.
The WMSCT commission specialised health care including secure mental health services on behalf of the region’s 17 Primary Care Trusts covering a population of approximately 5.5m people.
It will join existing tenants Zenos within the 63,382 sq ft building which has undergone a £1.6 million internal and external refurbishment.
Janice Cunningham of the WMSCT said: “The opportunity to bring our team, currently based in three offices, together under one roof enables us to be much more efficient and productive in the way we work, whilst the central location allows us easy access to hospitals in all parts of the region.”
Andrew Berry, senior surveyor for DTZ which acted on behalf of GE Capital Real Estate, added: “Edgbaston has always been a very popular business location in Birmingham and has maintained steady levels of interest throughout the last 24 months.
“Occupiers such as WMSCT and other NHS departments are rightly enjoying the advantages which this presents in enabling them to bring their entire teams together within a single prime location.”
The 123-127 Hagley Road complex is three five-storey buildings with 291 car parking spaces.
