Bruton Knowles on the move in Birmingham

PROPERTY consultancy Bruton Knowles has relocated its Birmingham office to a more central location.
Previously in Bull Street, the firm has now taken space in Embassy House in Church Street in the Colmore Business District (CBD).
The firm, which has had a presence in Birmingham for more than 13 years, has taken 3,670 sq ft of space on the ninth floor of the building on a ten-year lease.
Established in Gloucester in 1862, the company has 12 offices across the UK, including Birmingham, which was set up in 2000, following the firm’s merger with James & Lister Lea.
Ian Pitt, partner and head of Bruton Knowles’ Birmingham office, said: “The business is enjoying steady and sustained growth, with new clients and agency instructions being won on a regular basis.
“As the business continues to develop, we wanted an office that could not only accommodate us as we grow but also provide the right environment for staff.
“Embassy House ticked both these boxes, combining quality office space with a central location. Having been based at 42 Bull Street, an office we inherited from James & Lister Lea, for the past 13 years the time was right for us to make the move.”
DTZ and Jones Lang LaSalle acted on behalf of building owner AXA Real Estate Investment Managers in the deal. Bruton Knowles acted on its own behalf.
David Rigby, associate director at DTZ, said: “The recent programme of improvements implemented by AXA has helped to retain high calibre occupiers such as Chartis, as well as attract new tenants, such as Bruton Knowles, Marston Group and Kings Chambers.”
