JLR supplier IAC adds 72,000 sq ft to its Coleshill production facility

MANUFACTURER International Automotive Components (IAC) is to add 72,000 sq ft of space to its production facility in Gorsey Lane, Coleshill.
The global business which is headquartered in Michigan in the US, supplies the automotive sector and its largest client in Europe is Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) which accounts for around 36% of regional turnover and 15% of global business.
London-based industrial and logistics property development specialist Evander Properties has taken on the project on behalf of Logicor and Anglesea.
IAC already has a 140,000 sq ft facility at the site.
The firm specialises in the manufacture of carpets and roof linings for the automotive industry. The Coleshill facility supplies parts for the Range Rover Evoque and new Range Rover Sport models.
Construction of its ‘extension’ has already started and is expected to last six months. The main contractor is Essex-based Readie Construction.
Commenting on the announcement, Evander managing director Jeremy Greenland said: “This is the second major extension we are undertaking this year, following on from Asos’ additional 140,000 sq ft in Barnsley. We are glad to be working alongside Logicor and Anglesea once again.”
