Fisher German extends contract with Environment Agency

PROPERTY consultancy Fisher German has secured a major new contract with the Environment Agency.
The company, which has 15 offices across England, was initially asked to provide professional project support and land agency services in the Midlands.
This is now being expanded to focus on further parts of the Midlands and the Anglian region, stretching from the Humber in the north to the Thames in the south and from the Welsh borders in the west to East Anglia.
Staff at five Fisher German offices in Ashby, Worcester, Stafford, Retford and Newark are carrying out the work which includes major infrastructure and flood risk management projects, property management advice and environmental schemes which are needed to comply with the European Water Framework Directive.
John Ikin, a partner at the firm’s office in Ashby de la Zouch, said: “The contract builds upon work that we have already carried out in the Midlands although on a much larger geographic scale.”
He said the agency’s decision had been swayed by the firm’s geographical coverage.
“All the work is centred on providing an opportunity to plan and provide a better water environment, focusing on ecology and flood risk management, and we are pleased to be playing our part in achieving that.
“We have a proven track record in delivering these services to large organisations to help ensure the correct systems and individuals are in place to meet their requirements,” he added.
