Heart of England launch for women entrepreneurs’ group

A WEST MIDLANDS branch of a long-established networking group for businesswomen is to be launched in Solihull later this month.

The British Association of Women Entrepreneurs is holding a conference called ‘No Limits’ to launch the Heart of England network  on September 22 at Hogarth’s Hotel in Dorridge.

Deb Leary, OBE, CEO of Midlands-based Forensic Pathways is the national president of the association, which was formed in 1953. She said: “Entrepreneurship and business is at the forefront of getting the UK back on its feet – women businesses need to be proactive in this regeneration.

“The region has a history of innovation and business build and being Birmingham born and bred, I could think of no better start to my role as national president than to launch a Heart of England network. I urge women business owners in the region to invest in attending the conference, which will offer fabulous connections, workshops, exhibition opportunities and the chance to join the association, and become a member of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs to which BAWE is affiliated.”

As part of the Conference there will be a launch of ‘Aspiration 2011’, a series of workshops and webinars focussed on business growth, including financial intelligence, personal and business branding, presentation skills, technology and social.
