Limegreen adds zest to second anniversary
WEST Midlands-based public relations consultancy, Limegreen Communications, has marked its second anniversary with an increased turnover and client base.
The company, which specialises in leisure, retail and technical PR, has increased turnover by 55% in its second year of trading, while picking up a raft of new clients.
It has added the PR accounts for materials science company, Advanced Interactive Materials Science Ltd (AIMS), and plastic mould tool specialist, Promold International to its client list. The team will also be providing tactical investment PR for leading pubco Punch Taverns.
Established by Sarah Perrins, the former head of PR & Communications for Spirit Pub Company and Punch Taverns, and Jo Mathers, who led Spirit’s PR activity, Limegreen has enjoyed continued growth since launching in May 2012.
Ms Mathers said: “We’ve had another fantastic year, doubling our turnover and account base. We’re excited to welcome these clients to our growing family of accounts, which already includes Europe’s largest nightclub operator, The Luminar Group, national retailer Scrivens Opticians and Hearing Care and Genting Casino, one of the UK’s biggest casino and leisure operators.”
Ms Perrins added: “Jo and I wanted to form a new consultancy with a twist. Working with us gives clients access to senior consultants, hand-picked for their expertise and selected to match their brief. This approach is striking a chord with businesses looking for alternatives to the traditional agency set-up, with our new clients choosing to add a dash of lime on the back of glowing recommendations.”
Network Rail event puts mclcreate on the right track
EVENT company mclcreate has boosted its profile in Birmingham’s crucial conference sector by delivering a key conference for Network Rail, staged at the National Exhibition Centre.
The one-day event (pictured) saw more than 300 delegates from Network Rail’s key suppliers attend the seminar for a briefing on crucial safety changes.
Themed ‘Planning and Delivering Safe Work,’ the event was delivered jointly by mclcreate’s Birmingham and London offices, and was part of Network Rail’s ongoing safety and maintenance programme.
mclcreate has both events and exhibitions departments in Birmingham, and recently renewed an event partnership with Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.
CDPW marks fifth anniversary with fresh growth
COVENTRY design and web agency CDPW has marked its fifth anniversary with a further growth in turnover.
CDPW, which is based at the city’s Techno Centre, has achieved year-on-year growth since its inception in 2009 and is hoping to continue the trend with the support of Coventry and Leamington accountants Harrison Beale & Owen.
CDPW owners Leigh Torrance and Ricky Bhogal have over 20 years of experience in the creative industry and set up the company to meet demand.
The agency specialises in providing innovative design services including branding, art direction, graphic design, marketing campaigns, website design, illustration and video.
Torrance said: “We have just been booked to create the branding for the Edible Garden Show at London’s Alexandra Palace which is a fantastic achievement for us and we have also secured work with international firm SMA Solar Technology.
“It can be difficult for a design agency outside of London to land a big client within that area but since the recession we have seen that more and more companies look for alternative agencies that can offer a high-quality service at a more affordable price.”
He added that HB&O had played a major part in the firm’s success
“We are looking forward to their continued business and accountancy support as we focus further on developing the business,” he said.
The firm currently has four permanent staff members and then freelancers are hired to support large project wins. It is looking into the possibility of strengthening this with the recruitment of a new graduate.
