New client wins for Ed James Group

FULL service agency, Ed James Group, has strengthened its client portfolio with two new contract wins.

The Birmingham agency has entered contracts with automotive dealer, Guests, together with Bournville College.

Ed James Group managing director, Ed James, said: “This is an exciting time for the business. With these two new clients alone we’re expanding our repertoire into new sectors – education and automotive – which will make good use of the various skill sets and experience within our team.

“Both Guests and Bournville College are successful, well established organisations and we look forward to our future work together.”

Rob Spittle, Managing Director – Operations for Guests, said: “Guests is a thriving family business that operates in both the commercial vehicle and consumer motors sectors. Ed James Group has experience working in both areas and can work with us to help drive our business into the forefront of our customers’ minds.”

Supply chain game gives children the edge

BIRMINGHAM-based consultancy EDGE Creative has developed a new tool to help children understand the global commerce supply chain.

The firm has been responsible for the web development, creative marketing, social media and sponsorship of the innovative ‘real life’ educational monopoly board game, Business on the Move.

The game aims to inspire, excite and educate young people from the age of nine to 19, and beyond. The aim of the game is for players to move different products from China to their UK customers by land, sea and air, as quickly, as profitably and as responsibly as they can.

In so doing, they are faced with taking decisions similar to those made regularly by many businesses, such as: “How do I meet the delivery deadline?”; “Will I make a profit?”; “How can I improve my supply chain?” and “How can I cut my carbon footprint?”

Acting as design and marketing consultants, EDGE Creative identified and delivered a wide variety of sponsorship partners to make the game a reality, helping give children a true representation of modern business practice for both SME’s and large corporations.

Over 50 sponsors, including banks, major retailers and logistic service providers, feature in the game as themselves, playing the same role in the game they do in the real supply chain.

Louise Panayides, Creative Director,  EDGE Creative said:  “We were thrilled to win the brief for Business on the Move, games and simulations are rich learning environments and a great platform to solve real-world problems in a safe environment and have fun while doing so – which is such an important element to learning.”

Superdream set for expansion after new client wins

SuperdreamBROMSGROVE agency, Superdream, has launched a recruitment drive and a search for larger premises after securing new business worth more than £2m. The new accounts include Redcliffe Homes and Cookes Furniture.

Jason Manning, managing director, said: “The company has grown from a small print business to a thriving media hub in just two years.

“Even during the double-dip recession, which has been a rocky time for many businesses, we were winning new business at a substantial rate and have been steadily adding to our teams over the past year. We are thrilled to be able to keep creating jobs and play our part in boosting the local economy.”

With around 40 members of staff, Superdream is one of the largest agencies in Worcestershire.

The agency, which supplies brand transformation, advertising, PR and digital marketing, was established in 2012 following a merger with design agency Bird and Co.
