Sandwell developer named top landlord for fourth year in a row

A SANDWELL property developer has been crowned Landlord of the Year for the fourth year in succession.
Cradley Heath-based Stewardson Developments, which is run by brothers Philip and Mark Stewardson, received the accolade at this year’s Landlord & Letting Awards.
Philip said: “We are delighted to receive this award for the fourth year running, we have a great team and everyone has played a part in the business’ success.
“We have worked extremely hard to offer solutions to homeowners facing repossession or those with a need to sell a property quickly over the past 12 months.
“We acquired these properties and added them to our rental portfolio, and we are now one the largest property buying companies in the West Midlands.”
The company was also commended for its ‘green’ initiatives, which has seen the firm install solar panels on a number of the properties in its portfolio.
The brothers were presented with their award by broadcaster and celebrity builder Tommy Walsh at a gala dinner at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
Mark added: “We were really happy with our fourth nomination but to win four awards in as many years is a great honour and testament to the hard work put in by everyone at Stewardson’s.”
The Landlord & Letting Awards were introduced in 2009 with the aim of recognising and rewarding excellence and contribute to raising standards in the private rented sector.
Stewardson Developments, established in 1996, currently owns 122 properties across the West Midlands, with many in Halesowen, Stourbridge, Quinton, Bearwood and Edgbaston.
