Andrews Sykes financial controller dies

WOLVERHAMPTON air conditioning group Andrews Sykes has announced the death of Kevin Ford, the group’s financial controller.

In a statement the firm said: “Kevin was a long-standing, loyal and dedicated employee. He joined the company in 1978 and, with the exception of a short interval in the late 1980s, he was employed by the group throughout his working life.

“His career was mainly in the finance department and in December 2011 he assumed responsibility for the financial affairs of the group reporting directly to the board.”

“Kevin passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday 28th December. The board wishes to extend their thoughts and condolences to his family at this most difficult time.”

Andrews Sykes said it is currently evaluating various options concerning the succession plan.

“In the short term Kevin’s immediate responsibilities and duties will be dealt with by the board and the finance department,” it said.
