International intellectual property firm, Marks & Clerk, has relocated its Birmingham office to 45 Church Street.

The Grade A office in the city’s central business district is also home to Gerald Eve, Turner & Townsend and Hymans Robertson.

Marks & Clerk was founded in Birmingham in 1887 and has become an advisor to businesses of all sizes – from blue-chip companies to SMEs and entrepreneurs.

It works with regional universities and academic institutions, helping inventors, spin outs, and technology transfer departments maximise the value of their intellectual property assets.

The team has strengths in protecting innovations across sectors, including automotive, life sciences, chemistry, electronics, food and drink, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering.

John Ferdinand, Birmingham office managing partner at Marks & Clerk said: “Our Birmingham office has deep roots in the city, dating back to our founding in 1887. This relocation not only reinforces our long-standing commitment to the region, and to supporting the diverse industries that drive its economy, it provides a collaborative space where our team can continue to grow in the ever-evolving IP landscape.”
