Baker Tilly to rebrand its UK operation

ACCOUNTANCY and advisory firm Baker Tilly, which has an operation in Birmingham, is to rebrand as RSM.

The firm became part of the RSM International network in April 2014, which set in train today’s announcement having previously given notice that it was to leave the Baker Tilly International network.

The UK operation, which will formally rebrand on October 26, has 3,400 partners and staff operating from 32 locations around the country.

Kevin O’Connor, a regional managing partner at Baker Tilly, said that “adopting the RSM name simply enables us to work even more effectively in all countries around the world”.

He added: “Although our name is changing, we will stay true to our roots and continue to maintain the core essence and legacy of the Baker Tilly brand.

“Adopting RSM as our name will simply accelerate our path to a recognised unified global brand and strategy. It will reinforce our focus on becoming the leading adviser to the middle market by ensuring that our clients receive consistent global services, irrespective of international borders.”

The rebranding of the UK operation is being matched by a similar announcement in the United States, where McGladrey will also become known as RSM.

RSM International is the world’s sixth largest provider of tax services with a presence in more than 110 countries and last year recorded revenues of £2.8bn.
