Ormerod Rutter expands with new office in Bromsgrove

WORCESTERSHIRE accountants Ormerod Rutter has expanded its operation by moving in to new offices in Bromsgrove.

The firm, which has its head office in Droitwich, has returned to Regency House in Birmingham Road to expand its base in the town centre to improve its service offer to the local business community.

The office is led by senior partner Julian Dyer and accounts manager Doug Marshall, who originally established the firm’s apprenticeship having started his accountancy career in the same way.

Now entering its fifth year, the initiative has gone from strength to strength with the firm shortlisted for the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Employer of the Year Award 2015.

“Both the Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa offices will be taking on more apprentices in September as we maintain our commitment to providing career opportunities for talented young people in the West Midlands,” he said.

Dyer added: “We’re currently experiencing significant growth and pride ourselves on having the expertise across the firm to look after our clients’ financial needs throughout their business journey. As we started as a family firm over 30 years ago, we appreciate what it takes to build a successful business.

“One of our specialisms at the Bromsgrove office is research and development tax relief, which is a government incentive to financially reward companies for developing new technologies and improving products, processes and services. I’m surprised that many local businesses are unaware they could be eligible and would urge them to consider if they fall within the guidelines to claim the relief.”
